With a self-prepared traditional Malagasy meal!
We welcome you in Antananarivo, Madagascar, where you will cook traditional Malagasy dishes in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, under the supervision of our chef and the small Tana Kitchen team. After an apéritif and a theoretical introduction, you will self-prepare your starter, main course, chutneys and dessert. Following the Malagasy tradition, you will cook over a log-fire, in the original vilany (traditional Malagasy cooking pot). You will then enjoy your food in a traditional plate, (called tsatokaty), using a traditional sotro (spoon). Some coffee or a cup of ranovola (toasty-tasting rice tea) will pleasantly end your meal.
The recipes of your dishes, your souvenir, will allow you to host family and friends back home, after your Madagascar holiday. Purchasable souvenirs include the Tana Kitchen apron, cap and a wide range of utensils.
With each dish gaining the special flavor of a reward well-earned, enjoy this unique insight into the culinary secret of the Malagasy kitchen!
